Daniel Goralczyk

Welcome to My Personal Website!

I am Daniel Goralczyk, a recent graduate from the University of Konstanz with a Master’s degree in Politics and Public Administration. This platform serves as a showcase of my academic and extracurricular work. As a passionate data enthusiast, my portfolio reflects my proficiency in R, SPSS, and Python, as well as various data processing techniques using SQL and data visualization tools like Tableau. Explore the “Academic Projects” and “Personal Projects” tabs for specific projects and code examples.

My thesis, entitled “Navigating Ideological Impact: Exploring Negativity Bias on YouTube,” examines the factors influencing the viewership of U.S. Senators’ YouTube videos. Using the pre-trained RoBERTa language model, I performed sentiment analysis on video captions to determine the level of positivity or negativity expressed. The results provide compelling evidence for the existence of a negativity bias that enhances audience engagement. For more details, please visit the “Thesis” tab.
